We, my husband, daughter and I, recently had the pleasure of spending 3 days and two nights in Wildwood, New Jersey. The adventure was the result of my daughter’s last minute invitation to play in a beach tournament as a guest player for a soccer team she was hoping to join this fall. Best Western Astor Metropole, 193 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, Queensland.
A so-called 3/4 star hotel. The 3 star rooms were an absolute disgrace i.e. heavily stained carpet, ripped pillow cases, stained sheets, hairs in bed, flaky ceiling, scuffed paintwork, holes in bathroom floor tiles, rickety cupboards, dusty dirty, rusty fridge etc. This was all compounded with late night road works that started at 8pm and continued until midnight, as well as continuing again early in the morning. The hotel was informed of this but neglected to tell guests. An email of complaint was sent to management, but was ignored completely.
