No CommentsRoom Divider – The House Manager
As much as possible, one wants aspects of life separated from each other. With each and every aspect already hard enough manage on their own, some separation can help you to keep things exclusive and concentrate on a certain aspect of your life. A house reflects the personality of the owner. If you have a house that is messed up and not manageable, it will reflect your own lifestyle that is probably as unkept as your house. It’s quite easy to manage a household; all you need is a little creativity. One popular cause of an impossibly hard to manage household is the separation of one room from another. For example, you don’t want your kitchen in complete sight from Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsThe top ten scariest movie scenes ever
Maybe maybe the top scariest movie scene I’ve experienced recently was last month, when I saw that each ticket cost $12.50. I’m old enough to remember back in the Saturday afternoon movie days when we paid ten cents to get to see the newsreel, a cartoon short, a serial chapter, a cowboy movie and the main feature.
Most of my favorite movie scares go back a generation or two, but I still believe they beat all the high-tech, digitalized moments now up on the screen. Here are my favorites, but not necessarily in order of my preference. They’re all great.
1. Psycho (1960). Alfred Hitchcock thrilled us all with an historic shower scene that happened one scary night at Bates Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsBuying A Franchise- What Every Entrepreneur Needs To Know.
The concept of franchising is a couple of centuries old. The franchising business and world economies have developed simultaneously. The term ‘franchise’ comes from old French where it meant freedom, or privilege. Franchising goes back to the feudal times when the feudal lords granted permission to their slaves and common men to hold fairs, markets, ferries, and even allowed hunting on their lands.
In the middle ages, kings used the concept of franchising when they gave contracts, or franchises for most of the commercial activities like developing roads, wells, and brewing ale.
As the concept of franchising developed further, it was seen as the right to monopoly that a person got to perform any kind of a commercial Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsMovie reviews: Enchanted (2007)
If I were a tween, I would have given this movie an A+++! and another A++ if Zac Efron were in it. As I am a full-grown adult and much jaded by life and relationships I had to give Enchanted (directed by Kevin Lima) a much lower grade.
When an animated Princess Giselle meets her true love, Prince Edward, in their fairytale world of make-believe, all is well and they are to be wed after knowing each other for only a day. When Prince Edward’s stepmother, Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon), catches wind of the nuptials, she transforms herself into an old hag and Giselle over to a wishing well. She can’t have her stepson marrying and Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsCalifornia Vacations – What You Haven’t Seen
It is understandable why California attracts a lot of people. There it is warm and sunny most part of the year, Los Angeles is full of movie stars, rollerblading babes can be found all over the place in Venice Beach. Even if it is exaggerated, this part of the California mystique is real and not very hard to find.
But California has other things too, that are not scripted, sanitized, and broadcast to the mesmerized masses of the world. The glitter and glamour are only the surface of an incredibly diverse state that would be a productive and powerful nation in the event of ever getting separated from the Union. California has it all: redwood forests, an incredibly verdant Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsMovie reviews: Vacancy
VACANCY
(16, general release)
*
Any movie that involves an unplanned stop at a lonely motel is bound to induce memories of a particular little chiller by a certain Mr. Alfred Hitchcock. And as far as slasher movies are concerned Psycho has certainly set the standard for all that was to follow in its footsteps, including Nimrod Antal’s Vacancy and it’s ham-fisted attempts to imitate it. That being said, the opening credits deliberately resemble the memorable graphic sequences by Saul Bass in Psycho & Vertigo which combined with similarly unstable innkeepers and extremely sharp knives prove to be the only similarities these movies share!
David & Amy Fox (Luke Wilson & Kate Beckinsale respectively) are a not so loving couple on Read the rest of this entry »
